The 3S550AU, an Eaton 3S Standby UPS Series model, is perfectly designed to protect home and office computer equipments. This 550VA-rated UPS comes with six C13 outputs. Three C13 outputs provide battery backup and surge protection, and the other three provide only surge protection.

Eaton’s 3S550AU Standby UPS successfully protects the computer equipment as well as data in case of everyday events such as storms, lightning strikes, over-demand on the utility grid, accidents, and natural disasters knocking out power supply without warning. The UPS has six C13-type Australian outlets. It provides easy connection to most types of POS equipment, computers, broadband, peripheral devices, IP telephony infrastructure, and modems. It successfully supports a connected device such as a computer for up to 10 minutes at 50% load. From ‘back door’ power surges, it easily protects broadband, Ethernet, and telephone lines.

The 3S550AU is basically a model from Eaton’s 3S Standby UPS Series. All models come with a compact, sealed lead-acid battery and it is also replaceable. The HID-compliant USB communications port enables automatic integration with most common operating systems like Windows XP, Vista and 7, Linux, and Mac OS X. Then it utilizes shutdown software, which is supplied with that UPS. It supports a configuration that automatically saves work in progress on a PC and provides a graceful shutdown of applications without losing data. Once power is restored, you can continue right where you left off. For the input power protection, a resettable circuit breaker is also provided. For desktop or wall mount installation, all 3S Standby UPS Series models are housed in a durable case.
